Independence Day Half Marathon
- Bristol, Rhode IslandState #37
I was fortunate to start 1 hour before everyone else. Being a slow, fat runner sometimes works in my advantage.
I was able to “beat” Eric to the finished line.
The course was hiller than I expected, especially after mile 8…last 5 miles were brutal.
The rain held off and it didn’t get too hot, but it was very, very humid. Bristol is a fun town with red, white and blue lines down the middle of the streets. And all the house were decked out for the 4th of July! A very cool experience!
