This morning we ran the Hot Chocolate 10K in Minneapolis. This was a great race for me the first 5K was 40 seconds faster than Goldy's 5K on Sunday. The second half wasn't so great but there is the big hill at mile 4 and my feet were hurting at mile 5 and 6. Overall I finished 2 minutes faster than last year so that is a huge win!
We made the last minute discussion to run the Goldy's 5K. My brother has been walking a ton so I told him that needed to do a 5K. So we registered yesterday and picked up our bibs before the Loons game. Alec started near the start and ran a mile before Eric, Mike and I even started! Alec finished 14th overall with a time for 19:47. Eric came in at 33 minutes, I was just under 43 minutes and Mike was under 53 minutes. It was a chilly wet race but thankfully the rain came after we were done running.
Eric, DJ, Mike, and Alec held the banner tonight at the Loons Game. It was an exciting game with the Loons tying the game in the 87th minute.
